Overlooking the bay and harbour from Funchal, this traditional house offers a stunning view over the capital from Madeira. It is located in Monte, one of the most iconic neighbourhood in Madeira, well-known for its natural beauty, striking views and the famous Monte Palace Tropical Garden. The house is not too far from the town and as well not too far from the world-class hiking-trails in the steeper areas and mountains.
Guests like the broad range of amenities, such as ocean view, excellent sun exposure, free Highspeed Wi-Fi, Smart-TV with more than 200 channels, nearby outdoor activities and attractions, a fully equipped kitchen, private laundry, lots of space and privacy, free parking within walking-distance and a public bus-station around the corner.

What is the best season to visit Madeira?
The average temperture in Madeira is between 19 und 24 degrees - almost all year. That is why you can visit Madeira every time of the year. There is a big chance that the weather is nice and warm. Just be aware: Madeira has many micro-climates: The south with the capital Funchal is normally sunny and warm - the north at the same time can be quite humid and rainy. A good reason to stay in Funchal.
Where is the airport and how long does it take from there to the house?
The Airport is in Santa Cruz. With a rental car or a Taxi you need about 15-20 minutes.
What are the Highlights from Madeira?
If you trust Tripadvisor, the top 3 attractions are the Monte Tropical Garden, Pico do Arieiro and the Monte Cable Car. All these attractions are just a short driving distance away from The Harbour View House. We can fruther recommand a trip to the black-sand beach in Seixal, a walk to "Balcoes" or the Viewpoint from Guindaste. If you have some extra time, you can visit Porto Santo - the small island has a beautiful beach.
Do I need a rental car to explore Madeira?
Many attractions are a bit "off" from the main roads and a rental car definitely gives you more flexibility to explore the island - especially if you plan to go for some hiking or in case you want to explore the island. Therefore, we highly recommend to rent a car. The daily rental fee is normaly not much more expensive than a trip with a taxi from the airport. If you consider that, it is definitely worth to rent a car.
